Here’s the bottom line: emotional intelligence isn’t some bonus trait for people who have it all together. It’s a toolkit—a metal armor, if you will. It’s a way to understand not only yourself, but others, in an improved way so that you’ll be able to face the world head-on without falling apart.
Burnout isn’t a weakness, it’s just what happens when we’re pushed too hard without the essential skills needed in order to recover. But EQ can give us those skills. If you’ve ever felt like the world is expecting you to do everything without falling apart, you’re not alone, and you’re most definitely not broken. But you do deserve better tools.
So you can start here. Start now. Emotivate.

This post is adapted from my original research paper, which explores how emotional intelligence can prevent burnout in academic and professional settings.
